Phone number formatting
Retargetly accepts plain text and SHA-256 or SHA-512 hashed phone numbers. The phone numbers can be either mobile, work or home.
Want to increase match rate? Your match rates will be lower with hashed text as opposed to plain text. Also, we encourage you to send as many phone numbers for one person as you have.
If you will submit hashed phone numbers, make sure you follow the following instructions:
- Remove all special characters and white spaces. For example, "+1 (542) 828-2929" must be changed to "15428282929" before hashing.
- Remove special routing numbers in countries that require them for mobile or special numbers. For example, "+54 9 11 5233 9292" must be changed to "541152339292" before hashing since the 9 is not part of the country code or of the area code.
